Take 5

June 14, 2007

Join us for the final Take 5 of the season. This event is hosted by the Holiday Inn Waterfront and sponsored by Lock Tours Canada and Enterprise Centre Sault Ste. Marie. There will be a reception at the Holiday in from 5-6:30 pm followed by a 1-hour boat cruise. Cost for this event is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for non members. Don't forget someone will take home the Trunk of Treasures.

Relay for Life

June 15, 2007 at 7pm

A celebration of survival and a tribute to the lives of loved ones who have been touched by cancer. Twelve hours of fun, friendship, and fundraising to beat cancer. Communities from coast to coast will be taking part. Be a part of our team and help make cancer history! 3rd Annual Kidz Festival

June 16, 2007

Safe Communities Partnership presents the 3rd Annual Kidz Summer Festival to be held at the Roberta Bondar Pavillion. There will be a bike rodeo (be sure to bring your bike and helmet), face painting, chalk drawing, a bubble pool, and much, much more! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Putting for Prizes

At the Cambrian Mall, corridor by SportChek. Bring your Dad, Uncle, Grandfather or any great guy in your life to Cambrian Mall. Pay $2 and they get three chances to sink the ball - each successful hole in one can enter to win one of four great prizes! Prizes will be drawn after the last putter "putts" at 4:00 p.m. Win 1 of 4 Great Prizes! 1st prize is Golf Clubs. 2nd prize is Cambrian Mall & SportChek Watches, TELUS (Tommy Hilfiger Watches, 3rd prize is Golf Apparel (gift card, 4th prize is Winners Coffee & Goodie Basket White Picket Fence. Echoes of the World 5th Annual Drum Festival

Rainbow Grill and Lobsterfest

The Algoma Residential Community Hospice presents the Rainbow Grill and Lobster Fest. This event will be held at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre featuring Fresh East Coast Lobster, Fresh Fish on the Grill, Juicy BBQ Steak, Hot & Mild BBQ Sausage, Tasty Appetizers, Crisp Garden Salad, Variety of Sweet Desserts, Entertainment, and a Cash Bar. The Great Tugboat Parade

The Great Tugboat Parade can be seen on the St. Mary's Waterfront. Riding on the boats during the parade is by invitation only.

The 26th Annual Great Tugboat Races

June 30, 2007

The Great Tugboat Races will be taking place all day and can be seen on the St. Mary's River. For more information please call 759-4377, or email alxgard@shaw.ca. All proceeds go to support locally challenged children.

The 21st Annual International Bridgewalk

June 30, 2007 at 7am

The 21st Annual International Bridge Walk. Celebrating International Friendship! Walkers depart from the Norris Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at 9 a.m. sharp (weather permitting, walkers arriving after the walk begins will not be allowed to participate.), and walk approximately 3 miles north, finishing at the staging area in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Buses to Norris Center, 7:30-8:15 a.m. from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario staging area in the west parking lot of OLG Casino Sault Ste. Marie. Buses will then transport walkers back to the U.S continually until 12 pm. For more information please contact the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Chamber of Commerce at 705-949-7152 or the Sault Michigan Chamber of Commerce at 906-632-3301. Be prepared for added safety and security: Adults bring 1 photo I.D plus one proof of citizenship. Children must be accompanied by authorized adult. Birth certificate recommended. Cost is $1 per person or $5 per family (travelling in either direction). Please bring a minimum amount of carry along items, no animals allowed with the sole exception of seeing-eye dogs. For safety reasons, no rollerblades, rollerskates, skateboards or bicycles are allowed. This event is sponsored by, The Sault Ste.
