Gas Price Survey Results

There was great feedback on the Gas Price Survey. NOCC Chamber members have very common concerns and are struggling to make changes to their businesses to accomodate the escalating fuel prices. Some of the responses include:

• “Increased prices to cover extra fuel costs which have resulted in loss of sales and customers"
• " shipping charges have increased therefore must budget for fuel costs"
• "less business trips and more telephone meetings are taking place and a reduction in sales territory has been a concern and the affect has impacted Tourism in communities.”

• 51% of the recipients have mentioned a loss in profits due to fuel costs.
• 42% have responded that they have to make significant changes to their business through investments, employment or prices.

We thank all that have participated in the survey. The results will help the NOCC with lobbying efforts concerning this very important issue.
